About This Course
This RheumED project was created by the Department of Clinical Immunology and Rheumatology, St John’s Medical College Hospital, Bengaluru, India to educate patients, caregivers, nurses and physicians about Rheumatoid Arthritis. This project was made possible by the Pfizer Educational Grant. The purpose of these module is to enhance and optimize medical care for patients with Rheumatoid Arthritis by providing targeted education with respect to diagnosis, treatment, and follow up. These modules will also guide in identifying the red flags which require urgent referral to Rheumatologists
These modules are specifically designed for physicians offering updated, evidence-based knowledge to address several different day-to-day challenges encountered in diagnosing and treating patients with Rheumatoid Arthritis. The course consists of concise educational modules, case discussions and interactive assessments. At the completion of this course, doctors should be able to: Identify symptoms and signs of rheumatoid arthritis, diagnose and initiate DMARD treatment. Differentiate Rheumatoid Arthritis from other joint diseases. Monitoring Disease Activity, identify red flags and advise referral to rheumatologists. Managing infection and special situations. Identify and refer patients with adverse events or complications.
Requirements
Complete both the pre-test and post-test to assess learning progress. To qualify for certification, candidates must achieve a minimum score of 80% on the post-test for each module. Complete the course within one month from the date of enrollment.
